  The houseboat was okay. Everything looked nice from a distance. But when you get up close and actually look at their renovations, you can hardly call the boats "luxury". Things like cupboard doors not closing because they didn't line up, and mirrors half hanging off the walls because they've been hastily screwed in. There was also dirty stains on the bed linen when we arrived. There was nothing provided on this boat, so make sure you bring everything, even sugar!

  We had a fun time, and the instructor was a great help, but the boat lacked some basics like soap, extra toilet paper, salt and sugar.

  The worst part of this whole experience was the situation with getting our bond back. The company has a policy in their terms and conditions that states they will return your bond within 14 days. Not only did they break this policy, they completely stuffed us around. It took us a 52 days, from the time we left the houseboat, to get our bond back. However if I hadn't of fought tooth and nail to get it back, I don't believe we would have gotten it back at all. Over the 52 days, I left multiple emails, called and left dozens of messages. They didn't get back to me in any situation. The only way for me to get into contact with them was to call off different phone numbers. I spoke to them about 7 times over this time period and every time I was told that they would "be in the office in the next day and would sort it out". This never happened and I had to keep ringing back the next week. The final straw was when they said they had posted a cheque in the mail, however 7 days later and it had still not turned up. Eventually I must have annoyed them enough that they decided to do a bank transfer and gave me the money, however it was not the right amount that they told me I'd be getting back when I spoke to the owner as I was leaving the boat. But way too much hassle to get the rest out of them!

  Our sincere thanks for what was a wonderful week! Our boats not only met expectations they were better than what we were expecting. The boats are clean, very functional and opulent so well done, we will certainly be booking again.

  The only good thing about this company is their employee Andrew, who is the one that teaches you how to drive and operate the boat. he was awesome, and helped us out with everything we needed.

  These houseboats were truly fantastic, they were exactly as promised and our weekend on Luxury 5 was sensational. We had done our research and Anne-maree was most helpful in the booking process and couldn't be more helpful. Highly recommend Luxury on the Murray Houseboats.
